The Grand Traverse County Health Department is committed to providing professional health services to the entire community. Some of our programs do have eligibility requirements in order to participate. Below is a list of our services and their requirements to determine if you qualify. Some may have an application to fill out, while others just have an income or categorical requirement. Please feel free to call with any questions you may have at 231-995-6111.
  1. Breast & Cervical Cancer Screening (BCCCS)

    Find out what services are offered to the women of Grand Traverse County, along with what you have to do to qualify for them.

  2. Children's Special Health Care Services (CSHCS)

    Children's Special Health Care Services (CSHCS) is a program within the Michigan Department of Community Health for children and some adults with special health care needs and their families.

  3. Healthy Kids

    Healthy Kids is a Medicaid health care program for low-income children under age 19 and for pregnant women of any age.

  4. Maternal Infant Health Program (MIHP)

    Maternal Infant Health Program (MIHP) is a program for all Michigan women with Medicaid health insurance who are pregnant and all infants with Medicaid.

  5. Medicaid

    The Michigan Department of Community Health has a convenient online application service for the following Medicaid programs: MIChild, Healthy Kids and MOMS.

  6. MIChild

    MIChild offers health and dental care for children age 18 and under.

  7. MOMS Program

    The goal of the MOMS program is to provide immediate health coverage for pregnant women.

  8. Northern Dental Plan

    Sponsored by Dental Clinics North, Northern Dental Plan offers dental services at a reduced fee for people without dental insurance.

  9. Reproductive Health Services

    The Reproductive Health Clinic at the Grand Traverse Health Department serves males and females of reproductive age.

  10. WIC

    WIC is a special food and nutrition program that promotes good health and nutrition for pregnant & postpartum women, infants and children under 5 years of age.
