The Clerk of the Circuit Court files all cases and maintains official records of all cases that come before the Grand Traverse County 13th Circuit Court. The files are the official record of the court and are utilized by the judiciary and made available for public inspection.
86th District Court
The District Court has jurisdiction over all criminal misdemeanor cases, arraignments and preliminary examinations in felony matters, as well as civil cases where the amoount in controversy is $25,000 or less.
Probate Court
The Probate Court has jurisdiction over guardianships, conservatorships, decedent estates, wills, trusts, involuntary treatment of mentally ill and delayed registration of foreign birth.
