Judge Michael J. Haley

   
Judge Michael J. Haley was first elected to the District Court in 1996 and was re-elected in 2002 and 2008. Judge Haley graduated from the University of Detroit High School and then Wayne State University before completing his law degree requirements at Loyola University School of Law in Chicago in 1974. He served as a law clerk for the Michigan Court of Appeals, assistant public defender in Kent County, and assistant Grand Traverse County prosecutor before maintaining a private law practice from 1980 until his election to the bench. His current term expires in January, 2015.
