Compensation

Every prospective juror is compensated for appearing before the Court, even if not chosen to sit on a jury, as follows:

    

1/2 day (morning until lunch break)	$25.00
1/2 day (1:00 pm until 5:00 pm)	25.00
Full Day	50.00
Each additional 1/2 day	25.00
Each additional full day	50.00

As an example, a juror who is summoned to appear at 8:30 a.m. for a trial, but is released without being chosen to sit on the jury at 10:15 a.m., will be paid the 1/2 day rate of $25.00.

In addition, jurors are paid 36.5 cents per mile, round trip, for travel from their home to the Court.

It usually takes approximately three to four weeks for the reimbursement check to be mailed to the juror's home.
