About the Commission on Aging
| * | The Commission on Aging was organized in 1975. | |||
| * | Employees of the Commission on Aging are fingerprinted and background checks are conducted on an annual basis. | |||

| * |
Activities and appointments to the Board are overseen by Grand Traverse County Board of Commissioners. |
|||
| * |
The Commission on Aging is funded, almost solely, by a small local millage (0.5 mills for In-Home Services and 0.1 mills for the Senior Center Network in 2010). |
