Michigan State University will be offering a 4-hour Train-the-Trainer on Machine Rescue (Awareness Level). The training is being offered under a grant from MIOSHA and is provided at no cost to participating fire departments. Details on the program are provided below. This course will serve as a prerequisite to the 24-hour Operations Level program that MSU will begin offering this summer.
This course will provide fire service instructors with the ability to deliver a 4-hour Awareness Level training program on Machine Rescue. Topics for the course will include:

• Levels of Response
• Rescue Scene Management
• Medical Hazards
• Medical Resources
• Patient Assessment
• Types of Injuries
• Short-Term Patient Support
