Errors and Omissions: This is a working index and may contain errors
and omissions due to errors in the preparation of the original document
or in the indexing. Search by grantee-grantor (party name) only.

Images: The images are authentic reproductions of the actual document
and the quality is usually good. However, blue or light colored ink used on
original documents will not reproduce well. Also some of the older documents
we are indexing will not reproduce well due to the age of the microfilm. 

The general rule is that the grantor-grantee (or party) index is available
the day the document is recorded, and the tract index (by legal description)
 is available within one working day of the date recorded.

The Register of Deeds office has online records and images from January 1984. An online records search is available through Tapestry, a fee based
service requiring a credit card, hosted by Fidlar software.  The charge
is $5.95 per search and you are able to view all documents found, for an
additional 50 cents charge per page you may print all or part of the
document.  You are able to search by a variety of criteria, including but
not limited to the following:  name, legal description, parcel number (we
only have approximately 2 years of parcel (tax) ID's indexed), document number or liber/page, and a few other criteria.  You can combine different criteria
to help narrow down your search.

Tapestry (for the occasional use) will operate from several 4.0 or above
 Internet browsers including Microsoft and Netscape products on MS
Windows, Macintosh and other formats. Tapestry does not require high-
speed connections (but always enjoys them) and 56KB connections are great.
