Join the MI Big Green Gym Blues Community Challenge -- Get Fit and Help Our Community Win $5,000 Along the Way!
The second annual "MI Big Green By Blues Community Challenge" has kicked off, and all Grand Traverse community members, athletic teams, their familes, and their friends are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible and to get out and enjoy our many parks, green spaces, trails, and bodies of water.
Team Grand Traverse is competing against four other Michigan communities: Team Mt. Pleasant, Team SELCRA (Southeast Livingston County Recreation Authority), Team Grand Rapids, and Team Emmett County. The contest runs from Saturday, August 2, through Saturday, September 27.
Last year, our 254-member team tied as winner of the competition with Team Marquette for a $9,000 wellnesss grant. Let's bring in a win this year, too! Top prize is a $5,000 wellness grant. All that is required is signing up to log your daily physical activity during the challenge. Example of physical activities include swimming, walking, bicycling, hiking, dancing, and more.
