Mission Statement: Retain, expand and attract businesses creating high quality jobs in Grand Traverse County.
Vision: Grand Traverse County will have a sustainable business base and be among the top counties in the nation for economic development and growth.
Establishment: The Grand Traverse County Economic Development Corporation was established in 1978 under the Economic Development Corporations Act, PA 338 of 1974, as amended.
Primary Functions of the Economic Development Corporation:
- Encourage and financially assist industrial and commercial enterprises in locating and expanding in the County.
- Work in partnership with the Traverse Bay Economic Development Corporation (TBEDC)
The Economic Development Corporation generally meets on the second Thursday of the month at 8:00 a.m.
