Board Membership

The GTCEDC is a nine (9) member board appointed by the County Board of Commissioners for a six (6) year term, per statute. From the GTCEDC creation in 1997 until 2009, members on the EDC also served on the Brownfield Redevelopment Authority. Effective January 1, 2009, both boards were separated and the EDC was restructured for new appointees in 2009 to represent a broader range of industry.


Meetings

The GTCEDC meets the second Thursday of each month, unless otherwise posted. The EDC meetings begin at 8:00 a.m. and are held in the Commission Chambers on the second floor of the Governmental Center, located at 400 Boardman Avenue, Traverse City, Michigan 49684.
