PrintLand Bank Authority (LBA)
The mission of the Grand Traverse County Land Bank Authority is to utilize tax-reverted properties, acquired properties and other resources for affordable housing and economic development opportunities through collaboration with community organizations and local governmental units.
Establishment
The Grand Traverse County Land Bank Authority was created in 2006 under the Land Bank Fast Track Act, PA 258 of 2003, as amended.
Primary Functions of the Land Bank Authority:
- Focus on the conversion of vacant, abandoned, and tax-delinquent properties into productive use.
- Provide opportunities for affordable housing and economic development.
- Collaborate with local units of government to assist in meeting goals and objectives through development tools (including the Brownfield Redevelopment Authority).
Land Bank Authority generally meets on the third Thursday of the month at 8:00 a.m.
